*Bint Moniet El Nefous was Queen at Rancho San Ignacio.
During her lifetime she produced 13 foals for Mr. Pritzlaff. The most
frequent and well known cross was with *Rashad Ibn Nazeer. Together they
produced 10 full brothers and sisters who qualified as Sheykh Obeyd,
Straight Egyptian and Al Khamsa. They are Alcibiades, Bimoniet RSI, Bint
Bint Moniet, Dymoniet RSI, Monieta RSI, Monietor-RSI, Monisa RSI,
Rasmoniet RSI, RSI Rara Delsol & Sonieta. This bloodline is found at
Destiny Arabians through Alcibiades, Dymoniet RSI, Monieta RSI, Monietor-RSI, RSI Rara Delsol &
Sonieta. Staying within the Straight
Egyptian progam, *Bint Moniet El Nefous was bred to the stallion Umi,
producing the mare Muniet Nefous RSI.
The first 2 foals produced by *Bint Moniet El Nefous for
Mr. Pritzlaff did not fall under the heading of the Pyramid Society
definition. Her first foal, born in 1962, was the grey mare Tatu. Tatu was
sired by the stallion John Doyle, the result of breeding his foundation
mare Rabanna to the Doyle stallion Ghadaf. A lovely mare, she was a
consistent producer and many of her descendents can still be found in
Sheykh Obeyd & Al Khamsa breeding programs, as well as on the
performance trail. Her descendents can be found here at Destiny Arabians.
That year *Bint Moniet El Nefous was bred to another
Rabanna son - Tibor the General, sired by *Rashad Ibn Nazeer. This mating
produced the stallion Sir White Moon. Sir White Moon was the sire of 46
foals, of which only 4 were Sheykh Obeyd. They are Kumoniet RSI , Luna
Primera, Rabanna Moon and DB Destiny Moniet. He also produced 9 additional
Al Khamsa foals, and 33 general list foals. For purposes of this research,
the focus will be on only the Sheykh Obeyd progeny. Sir White Moon only
produced one foal for Mr. Pritzlaff before he was sold to Kitty Crouch of
Missouri, where he spent the rest of his life. While with Mrs. Crouch he
enjoyed a full life as both a show and breeding stallion. He competed
successfully in English, Western and Dressage. The foal produced at Rancho
San Ignacio was the lovely grey mare Kumoniet RSI, foaled in 1974.
Kumoniet bred on at Rancho San Ignacio producing 6 foals, only 3 of whom
have bred on. They are Drkumo RSI owned by Crockett & Sharon Dumas,
Ghamonarsi and Kumence RSI owned by
Destiny Arabians. Kumoniet's last years were spent with Jan Sorrell of
Silver Moments Arabians where she produced 2 sons that were later gelded.
His second Sheykh Obeyd foal, Luna Primera, died young
before producing any offspring. She was a daughter of the Doyle mare
Gayangel, a full sister to the stallion Parnell.
His third Sheykh Obeyd foal was the most prolific. Rabanna
Moon was foaled in 1978 and has produced 11 Sheykh Obeyd foals and 1
non-SO foal and 12 Sheykh Obeyd foals in the second generation. (as of
4-17-04) This mare
combines the blood of Sir White Moon and Tatu for 2 sources to *Bint
Moniet El Nefous. She was owned by Bob & Barbara Johnson of
Trebor Arabians and spent her last years living at Destiny Arabians where she
kept
company with...DB Destiny Moniet. She produced the colt DA Blue Moon by him in 2003 that
is 50% Sir White Moon blood.
His last Sheykh Obeyd foal, and only colt, was the
stallion DB Destiny Moniet, better known here as "Tim". His is a
unique pedigree, with Pritzlaff/Rabanna breeding on top of his pedigree,
and a Babson/Doyle cross on the bottom. Tim started late in Sheykh Obeyd
breeding, and his oldest Sheykh Obeyd daughters were born in 1998. We
are making a concentrated effort to double our sources of Sir White Moon
blood.
We at Destiny Arabians have been lucky enough to know all 3 of
the surviving Sir White Moon Sheykh Obeyd offspring and have had
descendents of all three here at the ranch.
