News & Stories - 2002

January 9, 2003 I received the most wonderful letter. I very much enjoy hearing back from folks who have my babies, especially when they call or write to brag! I hope Cindy's Letter makes you smile as it did me!
Bragging rights go out to Skyla Sutton and her gelding "Tempo" formally known as DA Antar Shalou. The list of their accomplishments is impressive! SWIT & DR Top 15-points-3rd place Top 10-miles-1st place PNER Top 25-20th place ANIMAL HORSE most consecutive miles...one award only...proud of this one! Top 5 Idaho-3rd place Sandybar Award-10 or more consecutive completions-did 12 AERC Top 7 Regional Heavy Weight-2nd place Tempo is sired by RG Alcibay and out of the mare Gullnar who is a maternal half sister to our stallion DB Destiny Moniet. Even though Bob and Arlene Morris got to hang their ME brand on him, we are proud that this Destiny Arabians bred gelding is representing our program so well. He and Skyla make a great team! Congratulations to Tempo & Skyla!

Not horse related, but definitely worth bragging about. This handsome young man was Bob & Sheila's second "foal", first "colt" born back in 1983. Pv2 Sean Harmon recently graduated from Army AIT (Advanced Individual Training - I'm getting to learn a whole new set of acronyms) as an Apache Helicopter mechanic. He graduated top of his class as the Distinguished Honor Graduate. For those of you who have met Sean, you know that while he was at home school was NEVER a top priority. We are thrilled that he found something that he is passionately interested in pursuing. We were able to go to Virginia and visit for the graduation, and all of the family spent the weekend exploring the monuments & museums of Washington D.C.
